This old patio on Woodworth was worn out all over. The whole construction screamed DIY or sloppy contracting with several shortcuts taken and a small 30" door that was cheap and beat up.
We removed all the old screen and pressure cleaned the aluminum to remove not only dirt, but corrosion that had built up in the spline channel. After a cleaning, we rebuilt the door opening and installed a new standard size 36" door & hardware. There were several areas where the aluminum needed remounting around the ground, frame, & along the kick-plate. After we remounted everything we re-screened with new Phiferglass 18/14 insect screen & proper flat spline.
Even with the challenges this old patio presented, it is ready for a new homeowner to enjoy for several more years.
